Two Artists Talking is a special limited edition artist book collecting interviews with Boston-area artists: Danielle Abrams, Ria Brodell, David Antonio Cruz, Daniela Rivera, Brooke Stewart, Jamal Thorne, Deb Todd Wheeler, and Yu-Wen Wu. The interviews were conducted by students attending School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) at Tufts University who visited the artists’ studios to inquire about meaning, materials, process, and career strategy. Their conversations serve as evidence that there are no right answers in how to navigate life and career as an artist. From crowded museum exhibitions to large studios and guided tours, Two Artists Talking offers a window into the vibrant lives and varied careers of artists, making a compelling read for students, established artists, and anyone looking for insight into the creative experience. Two Artists Talking was designed and edited by artists McCall Hollister, Eva Lundsager, and Cassidy Westjohn. The interviews were conducted by artists Elizabeth Blessing, McCall Hollister, Maddie Kelly, Sally Lee, Felipe Lopez, Eva Lundsager, Marek Modzelewski, and Cassidy Westjohn. An earlier unpublished version of the book was designed by Mrudhu Bhashini Vijayakumar.

Two Artists Talking is 100 pages, 6” x 9,” 12 b&w illustrations, paperback, $28. Available at Praise
Shadows Gallery and ICA Boston.
